It's been a few weeks since launch and things are going pretty well, given the initial struggle with Facebook. So many people are finding the Kyd trailers on Instagram I guess it means I need to dive in an get a better idea of how it works. I doubted the wisdom of releasing trailers and other content before the first song even dropped, but it seems to have worked. Momentum is picking up a bit and I can't wait for you all to see and hear what comes next. I'm really proud of these tunes, mainly because they represent a milestone for me. They are 100% my own creation, and most importantly to me, they don't sound like me trying to sound like somebody else. I hear all my influences woven throughout in a way that tips the hat, but doesn't borrow (too much...). It's being described as everything from heavy metal, to dad rock, to "dancey,"  to new country, but to me it just sounds like something I'd enjoy listening to. These are the songs I've always wanted to make but was too unsure of myself to just go for it. As we approach the first release next week, I hope everyone will like, share, comment, and help keep this thing moving so more and more people come along for the ride.
